This says it is event ID 6 but it cannot find a desription for the event. The only other bit of information I have is an information message from parspi.sys in the system log in event viewer. The port is configured for ECP on DMA1 and this is a fresh install of XP to which I have added.NET 3.5. However, I get the repeated error message 'Opening LPT1, Failed to open LPT1'. I am trying to get the LPT-SPI interface working on a Dell XP machine (specially bought in for the purpose!) When running Bluetest3 I select SPI as the transport and it allows me to select LPT1 as the port. Note: the driver only supports WinXP and make sure the LPT port on your PC supports ECP mode. One possible solution is to manually install the driver again.
For CSR's BlueSuite (PSTool and BlueTest3), if the LPT-to-SPI driver was correctly installed, you should see 'LPTx', see below, when you click If 'LPTx' is not appeared, see below, there probably is something wrong with the driver during installation.
